As the COVID-19 situation continues to shift, we want to remind you that the NEOS Experience remains unchanged.

As a modern life insurance business, our team can work from anywhere – whether that be at the office or at home. And regardless of where we’re working from, our top priority continues to be providing outstanding service to our advisers and their clients.

We’re continuously monitoring the COVID-19 situation across Australia and ensuring our team (including our adviser community) have the support they need through the varying levels of this pandemic.

This includes providing general tips and resources for helping you to navigate the challenges of working from home. You can access the resources we have available hereAdditionally, we’ve put together a COVID FAQ page to help answer questions our advisers might have about the impact of COVID-19 on current and potential NEOS Protection plan holders. Below is a response to two of our most commonly asked questions:

COVID-19 information for existing clients:

Your clients are covered for coronavirus just like any other illness. NEOS Protection plans do not contain any exclusion in relation to epidemics or pandemics. This means your clients can make a claim in relation to coronavirus if required. This includes any life, total and permanent disability (TPD), critical illness, child’s critical illness and income protection cover types.

As with all claims, clients must have fulfilled their disclosure obligations and met the terms of their cover in order to be eligible for a benefit payout.

COVID-19 information for new clients:

All new clients will be subject to our usual underwriting process. However, for clients suffering from the virus at the time of application, we will decline the decision to offer cover until the applicant returns to good health.

Finally, we also hope you’re taking care of yourself both physically and mentally while working from home. If you’re looking for ideas and support on how to do this, see our recent article about the fitness classes that we’re offering to NEOS advisers.

And remember, we’re here to help. Please don’t hesitate to contact your dedicated BDM or our customer service line if you have any questions.
